How To Buy Hosting & Domain : QServers

Web hosting seems like an enormous headache at first.Shared hosting, dedicated hosting, VPS, managed hosting, server cores, different RAM, CDNs, SSL certificates. Don’t panic if the terms are l It’s endless. Those exciting early stages of launching a new website, you have a lot of decisions you need to make. You need to clarify your brand, choose your domain, and plan out your website’s design.

On the long to-do list of getting a new website up and running on the web, one of the most important choices you need to make is what plan and provider to choose for web hosting. There are a lot of web hosting companies available and I can remember having a heated argument with someone on “which is the best”. Lol. Don’t mind me. Before I talk on how to purchase one, let us look at the meaning of a web host itself

What is a Web Host?
A web host determines the speed, reliability and stability of your website, so it’s important to make the right choice. Web hosts own a large number of servers that have the power required to provide consistent, reliable service for thousands of websites. When you sign up for a hosting plan, you rent some of the space on their servers. A good web host isn’t just selling that space, they’re also selling their expertise in keeping their technology running smoothly, efficiently, and securely—so that your website runs consistently without problems.

We have various web hosting companies : Bluehost, DreamHost , GoDaddy, Hostinger, SiteGround, QServers, WhoGoHost. etc.

I will be using QServers for this tutorial. Nigeria-based QServers was established in 2004 by CEO Seun Kehinde. It’s one of the most affordable website hosting and domain registrars in the Nigerian market. Not only will you save money with this provider, but you’ll also be able to acquire scalable and reliable web hosting solutions suitable for growing SMEs.
