Meet The OPPO A91 & A92

OPPO made an impression since 2019 with its pop-up designs, its price, long battery life and very fast charging phone and other compelling features. OPPO devices generally look more expensive than they are, it looks and feels much more ”sophisticated”.

Oppo A91

Despite its size and strong battery, the Oppo A91 is comparatively light, mainly due to the absence of glass and the reduced use of aluminium. The materials are replaced by plastic. This does not diminish the smartphone’s valuable impression, as the workmanship is on a good level and the gaps are both tight and even. There is no special protection against the penetration of dust and water and the battery is firmly installed.

Verdict

The Oppo A91 is a smartphone in the upper entry-level class and is in direct competition with Samsung’s top dog, the Galaxy A51. The A91 convinces with a large AMOLED display, which convinces with both the display characteristics and the brightness in the test. The fast SoC provides an appealing performance, and there is also plenty of memory available, which can be expanded if necessary using a microSD card without having to sacrifice a SIM slot. The fingerprint scanner is integrated in the panel and with VOOC charge the smartphone is quickly recharged.

OPPO A92

The Oppo A92 has a 6.5″ LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution with 405 ppi. The 16MP AI-powered selfie camera is situated towards the top left of the screen in a hole-punched design. The rear of the phone features four individual camera sensors, including a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP monochrome lens and a 2MP bokeh lens.

Verdict

The first thing I will like to point out is the Chipset Snapdragon 665. To be honest, that is too small for a smartphone sold at this rate. They could have gone for the 720G or perhaps 730G.

The Phone comes with a non-removable 5000mAh battery, which lasts as long as 34hours, it doesn’t take long to charge as well, it takes about 2hours and some minutes to charge fully. It also has a unique feature of reverse charging; with the A92 you can charge other devices phone to phone.

In conclusion, what really stood out for me was the portrait rear camera that made picture really sharp and beautiful. And of course, the storage capacity and premium look of the OPPO A92 make it a really beautiful phone.
